Caroline From ‘Married At First Sight’ Is Selling Her Wedding Dress After Split From Husband

We had hoped the couples on ‘Married At First Sight’ would drive off into the sunset and live happily ever after.

But it seems science isn’t the perfect matchmaking tool after all, as all four of the husband and wife matches have now gone their separate ways.

And to mark the sad occasion, bride Caroline Knott, who married Adam Donoghue in the second episode of season two, is selling her wedding dress.

Knott advertised the Vera Wang gown on Bride2Bride this week, after confirming her split from Donoghue, who she married in June 2016.

She said: “I wore this beautiful wedding dress whilst marrying a stranger on Channel 4’s Married At First Sight.”

The full-skirted silver dress, which was originally bought in Stratford, London, is a size ten and is from the White by Vera Wang Collection.

Before the wedding, Knott had some customisations made to the bottom of the dress, but the bodice is the original: “The alterations were perfect, and allow for you to walk unencumbered without losing the princess look of the dress gently touching the floor.”

The dress is being sold for £850 without the veil, and Knott is keen to take offers, saying: “It is the most beautiful thing I have ever worn, but it is time to say goodbye.”

“2017 is definitely out with the old, and in with the new,” she told her Instagram followers.

Knott confirmed her split from Donoghue on social media after sharing a photograph of her and other cast members celebrating on New Year’s Eve.

She captioned the snap: “It’s safe to say 2016 hasn’t been what I expected… I took a leap of faith and married a stranger on national TV, but instead of living happily ever after with a scientifically matched husband I found something even more amazing; these cool kids [the other stars of ‘Married At First Sight’].”

Jimmy Choo Puts Itself Up For Sale

Jimmy Choo is up for sale, the luxury shoe company has announced.

The much-loved fashion brand is seeking potential offers and exploring options for the company’s future.

With backing from the brand’s main stakeholder, JAB Luxury GmbH, the company said in a statement:

“The Board of Jimmy Choo announces today that it has decided to conduct a review of the various strategic options open to the Company to maximise value for its shareholders and it is seeking offers for the Company.”

JAB Luxury said there was “no certainty that a sale of all or any of JAB Luxury’s shareholding in Jimmy Choo will take place, nor as to the terms on which any such transaction may take place”.

The company currently has more than 150 stores worldwide and as well as shoes it sells a range of other luxury accessories, including handbags, scarves, sunglasses, eyewear, belts and fragrance.

The company was cofounded by British businesswoman Tamara Mellon back in 1996.

However, in 2011, Mellon left the company and in 2013 she published a booked entitled ‘In My Shoes’ about her experiences with the brand.

In recent years, the brand has altered its marketing strategies to cater to a younger consumer – with celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Kit Harrington and Dakota Fanning fronting their campaigns.

However, recently, the company’s sales growth has slowed to 2% in 2016 compared to 7% in 2015, according to analysts at HSBC, reports the BBC.

The brand enjoyed increased popularity when in season three of TV series ‘Sex And The City’, Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw wore a pair of suede and pink feathered JC heels.

The footwear is a firm red carpet favourite of celebrities including Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez.

Fearne Cotton Learns How You Could Become A Designer’s Muse In ‘Fearne On Fashion’

Fearne Cotton has discovered the secret to becoming a fashion designer’s muse: Buy vintage.

Cotton met up with ‘The Vintage King’ William Banks-Blaney for her video series ‘Fearne On Fashion’ and he told her how vintage gems can inspire next season’s trends.

“Vintage has been a part of contemporary fashion since God was a boy,” said Banks-Blaney.

“Designers come to us for inspiration pieces because it’s about artists and everybody is inspired by something.

“It’s part of the machine of fashion.”

James Grant
Fearne Cotton is schooled in vintage by William Banks-Blaney.

As Cotton rifled through Banks-Blaney’s rails of original couture pieces from the likes of Balmain and McQueen, he shares what makes a piece ‘timeless’.

“It’s a combo of great design and brilliant quality,” Banks-Blaney explained.

“Even if you’re looking at the lower price point in vintage, the construction was really fantastic and now things are not designed to last 30 years. The way they’re made, they are designed to give up the ghost after probably a year.”

Watch the video above to see Cotton’s ‘drunk dress’ discovery and learn more about what makes a piece “qualify” as vintage.

Fearne Cotton has delved behind the scenes of the fashion industry for a revealing new video series premiering on The Huffington Post UK Style. In the 10-part ‘Fearne On Fashion’ series Cotton shares an eye-opening insight into the chaos of Fashion Week, the virtues of vintage and what drives us to buy the latest high street trends in droves.

The Duchess Of Cambridge Looked Impeccable In Chanel And McQueen In Paris

The Duchess of Cambridge has given us serious weekend-away-style goals, during her recent trip to Paris.

Kate and the Duke of Cambridge met with cultural leaders and French President François Hollande to launch ‘Les Voisins’ – a celebration of cultural ties between the UK and France after Brexit, from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 March.

As always, the Duchess looked elegant as she selected a mix of her favourite designers – from British and French to American.

Arriving in the capital wearing a dark green coat by French-born but London-based designer, Catherine Walker, Kate looked refined on St. Patrick’s Day.

For a reception at British ambassador’s residence on 17 March, the Duchess wore a black frayed dress by British designer Alexander McQueen.

Kate’s love affair with the brand first began on her wedding day back in 29 April 2011, when she picked McQueen creative director Sarah Burton to design her dress.

More recently, the Duchess picked an ensemble by the designer when she and Prince William attended the BAFTAs.

Later that evening, the Duchess opted for another firm favourite: Jenny Packham. Attending a gala dinner, hosted by Edward Llewellyn, the UK’s ambassador to France, she wore a beautiful ice blue gown with Oscar de la Renta pumps and chandelier earrings on loan from the Queen.

One Love Manchester: How To Ensure You’re Not Buying Fake Merchandise

Bootleggers have reportedly been taking advantage of people looking to donate money to the victims of the Manchester bombing and their families.

Variety reports more than ten cease and desist notices have been issued to e-commerce websites, pedaling fake ‘One Love Manchester’ merchandise, including Etsy.

PA Wire/PA Images

In the wake of the bombing at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena on 22 May, in which 22 people were killed, the British Red Cross set up the ‘We Love Manchester Emergency Fund’.

The project, in conjunction with Manchester City Council, is selling a variety of merchandise branded with Grande’s bunny-ear icon, including the jumper the star wore last night, which costs £40.

But dozens of online vendors have begun selling unauthorised items, meaning that the proceeds from these purchases will not be donated to the charities and may instead be pocketed by private enterprises.

In order to ensure that you are not being sold fake apparel, which includes jumpers, t-shirts, hats and enamel pins, make sure you are shopping via the Universal Music Group website at onelovemanchester shop.

As the only official vendor of the products, you can be assured that your payment is earmarked as a donation.

A spokesperson from Etsy, told HuffPost UK: “Etsy takes intellectual property allegations and the integrity of our marketplace very seriously. We’re working with authorized parties to take action on takedown notices about allegedly infringing content generated by our sellers. Our Legal Response and Enforcement team acts expeditiously in accordance with our Intellectual Property Policy.”

The total amount raised since the Manchester attack has now surpassed the £10m mark, after the benefit concert raised over £2million in the three hours when it was aired on Sunday (4 June).

The fundraising gig, saw the likes of Coldplay, Liam Gallagher, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry perform.

Primark Shoes 2017: These £8 Mules That Look Similar To A £430 Prada Pair Have Sent Shoppers Into A Frenzy

Primark has sent shoppers into a frenzy trying to track down a pair of mules that are very similar to a designer pair from Prada.

The high street retailer – which has built a reputation on being extremely affordable – is selling an £8 pair of mules not too dissimilar to Prada’s £470 slippers.

Available in an array of shades – from black and nude to denim – the mules have already caught the attention of many a shopper.

The brand shared an image of the mules on their Instagram on 3 May:

Some shoppers took to social media to share their angst about finding a pair:

“I can’t find these pink ones anywhere in the UK in a size 7 – been to about five Primarks across the country! I need them,” one user commented.

“I live in the Midlands so it’s a bit far to go for them but I’ve tried, London, Nottingham, Burton, Birmingham Fort and Birmingham High Street,” another wrote.

“Why is this style not available in Spain? I don’t understand! Please, tell us what happen! Thanks,” another wrote.

Made from suede or velvet – with a grosgrain bow and leather sole – the Prada slipper is luxuriously expensive.

Not too long ago, Primark sparked a similar shopping frenzy with their ‘Beauty And The Beauty’ range, as people went to great lengths trying to track down the Chip-inspired mug.
